The Black Pearl..

..Captained by Captain Jack Sparrow

Where would Sailor's Grave be without it's beloved Jack Sparrow? Actually, pardoning that statement, where would TORTUGA be, without it's infamous, rum-loving, Black Pearl obsessed pirate lord of the Caribbean, Captain Jack Sparrow?

To be honest, it would be one dreary Caribbean island town, that's for sure.

Captain Jack Sparrow. Alcoholic, womanizer, loyal friend. All this, and so much more, we here at the Sailor's Grave have come to love (or hate) the man that helped make Sailor's Grave what it is today. In league with his partner, Black Jack, the two men built their dream; to own their hobby and drink it too!

And of course, where would Sparrow be without his ship?

Isn't she a beauty?

Sparrow's pride and joy (after rum.. and after Sailor's Grave, of course!), the Black Pearl, if Sparrow could stash it there, would be stored under his pillow when he slept.

The Black Pearl is moderately armed. It carries 32 twelve-pound canons; 18 on the gun deck and 14 on the upper deck. It's full broadside contains 16 cannonballs and weighs 192lb (87kg). The Pearl has no bow chasers or stern chasers (cannons used while being chased or chasing, as one cannot use a regular broadside volley in this situation), which is very unusual for a pirate ship, giving it a grave tactical disadvantage during a chase; the Pearl isn’t able to shoot the ship it chases or to reply her hunter’s fire. Her high speed only partially negates this handicap.

Yep, Sparrow's ship alright!

So, when you stop by the Sailor's Grave, do pop in and say hello to Tortuga's well loved, rum smelling pirate, Captain Jack Sparrow!
