- Is this a Pirates of the Caribbean Role Play?

No, it is not. Though we employ certain character's from the movie series, we do not enforce nor attempt to fashion ourselves after POTC. In the beginning of this Role Play, back in the days of the Armada, the character of Sparrow (still played by the same typist) was as much apart of the Armada Story Line then as he is apart of the Sailor's Grave play today. We base Sparrow off of his character HERE at Sailor's, not in a Story Line influenced by POTC.

- Can I have a POTC character in Sailor's Grave?

Alas, no. Not unless you approach Admin Staff with a rather good reason as to why and how you will incorporate your POTC character into the Story Line of the Sailor's Grave. Like we said, this is not influenced by the Story Line of POTC, this is Sailor's Grave.

- What time period does Sailor's Grave take place in?

Roughly within the 1700's. In that aspect, we attempt to keep it as "real" as possible.

- Can I have more than one character at SG?

Yes, but within reason. So long as it pertains to Story Line, and you don't get out of control with your characters because one of them has had five babies or something along the line's of. The one simple rule; KISS. (Keep It Sweet & Simple.)

- How come a lot of the time the Owner's aren't there? They run the show, don't they?

Yes, we do. However, like yourselves, we have a job, a signficant other, children, bills to pay, mouths to feed, etc etc. A Real Life out side of Role Play. Like everyone else, we need to get on with this as much as the next person, and as much as we enjoy Role Playing and wish we could do it 24/7 and get paid for it, sadly, we don't. Thus why we have a support network of staff (the Brown Hammer Admin.) who will be happy to help you if you need something. They are all approachable and happy to attend to whatever you need. If you require either Black Jack, Jack Sparrow or myself (Skipper), please leave a message with our Brown Hammer Admin, and they will forward it on to us.

- What gives with certain typists allowing Mythological creatures? I thought the rules said "No Mythological Creatures"?

Yes, the rules do state that. However, the entire rule does state that if you think you have an idea for a mythological creature that pertains to a certain Story Line within SG, please do seek out one of our Admin Staff and tell us your idea. Like stated before, we attempt to keep this play as close to the 1700's as possible - we can't have so many Vampires or Fish Babies running around - it gets too out of hand. Those that do have a mythological being, or have a certain talent, power or ability, have sought approval from either Black Jack, Jack Sparrow or myself (Skipper). It is as simple as that.

To lodge an application to play a mythical creature in Sailor's Grave, please email us as sailors.grave@hotmail.com

- Is there a time period to your decisions on allowing Mythological Beings?

Like anything, yes, there is a time period, as these decisions do take time. If anything, we consider how it would best fit into the Story Line of SG, and how it will best reward you as a player, us as Admin and player's, and the player's around you.

- It's not fair! A lot of the time I feel like I'm just being ignored in that room.

This, unfortunately,  is something we can not avoid. Like any other Role Play room, there will be times when Admin Staff simply can not cater to EVERYONE; as much as in the idealistic world we would love to, sadly and realisticly, we are only individual people with individual characters - we can not split them to better suit the rooms needs. A lot of the time our character's are locked in a certain Story Line, which would then lead to a sort of "Out of Action" experience if the Story Line needs to be advanced with a certain person needing to be there, or what not - as this would occur with any other player who Role Play's within SG. We would dearly love to have everyone play with everyone, but each to their own, we can not enforce people MUST play with others. It is simply their choice.
